Verbena bonariensis—Tall Vervain Seeds
This South American plant has become quite popular in gardens during the past few years. I was late to the game adding it to my own because I knew they could "go crazy" and reseed. Yes, I know, the irony, but this is important when you sell seeds. For me, it has not been an issues at all but that's probably because I collect as many seeds as I possibly can.
I've found—during the two years that it's lived here—the reason it reseeds so much is that it's sowing seeds even while still in bloom. That's because each tiny flower has its own pouch of seeds if pollinated, and, since the pollinators love this one, well, you can expect a lot of seeds.
To control the reseeding just be sure to cut off blooms as frequently as possible. This is a fantastic addition to cut flower arrangements.
If you live in CA or the southeastern US this plant is likely not a great option for you because it has become an invasive weed.
Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to grow. (about 200 seeds)
