If you've ever spent time in the PNW you'll be familiar with this native plant. It's a member of the family Saxifragaceae and is the only species in the genus Tellima. It grows as a ground cover in the moist forests of the region and readily reseeds in gardens when the right conditions are recreated.

My seeds were collected along a coastal river near the mouth of the Columbia River. These plants also grow inland though so don't worry if you're not living in a coastal rainforest. This plant is truly reliable and grows well with sword ferns too. Just give it some damp shade.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to grow but some seed-starting experience is recommended. (about 250 seeds)

Basic Plant Facts:

Tellima grandiflora

Grows 12-18" x 12"

Likes partial to full shade

Zone 4-8
