Seseli gummiferum—Moon Carrot Seeds

from $4.00
sold out

This is a cosmically cool plant. I just don't know how else to describe it. The foliage is soft and grey and almost looks like something you'd see underwater. During the plant's second year, there's more foliage, and then those blooms. Wow!

According to my friend Evan who grew these seeds the flowers were absolutely covered in bees. I guess that adds a nice soundtrack too for an incredible out of this world garden creature.

Though this plant is not for everyone. Plant it in such a way that the blooms are supported a bit by friends. Otherwise, you may find them creeping along the ground in a not-so-attractive way.

Pics above are provided by Loree Bohl of Danger Garden and Evan Bean of The Practical Plant Geek. (Evan also provided the seeds.)

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are biennial plants so they'll produce foliage the first season and then foliage and flowers during the second year.
