FRESH! Heteromeles arbutifolia—Toyon Seeds
(Seeds will be sent freshly cleaned during winter of 2024. They must be sown immediately.)
Seeds will be harvested from the shrub in front of my house. I’ve grown several batches from seed and have had 100% germination with them. I will process them and ship them out immediately.
Here in Portland this plant grows well, but it needs to be planted it in an area that stays dry. They do great as an understory tree beneath Doug fir trees. No addition irrigation is needed for them once they're established. Overall, they're a very great West coast plant.
Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These seeds will be cleaned for you, pre-stratified, and you will need to show them as soon as they arrive. (about 25 or 50 seeds depending upon which quantity you choose)
