Who doesn't like the sight and fragrance of a tall, white lily in bloom? In addition, not only is this one white, but it has a deep, rich, dark maroon color to its outer trumpet. Exquisite!!! It is rare for me to simply sit and stare at a bloom, but this one made me contemplate its lines, structure, and texture for many minutes, if not a complete hour this past summer. (Don't you laugh! You know you've done it too!)

My plants were grown from seeds purchased through the plantation of Monticello, a national treasure located in the state of Virginia. Grow some of your own and pass them on.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to germinate and grow, but they will take 2-3 years to bloom. My first batch bloomed after 2 years and it was worth the wait. (about 30 seeds, not bulbs)

Basic Plant Facts:
Lilium formosanum
Grows 4-6' tall
Likes sun to part shade
USDA zones: 5a-10a
