Cupressus sempervirens—Italian Cypress Tree Seeds
Known by many names—including Italian Cypress, Funeral Cypress, and Mediterranean Cypress—I simply could not live without being near these trees. There is something about them that brings the Mediterranean out in me and that is a good thing.
When we first walked through our home, back when it was still available for sale, I was ecstatic when I saw that the neighbor had a mature one in the far corner of his backyard that was right next to us. That meant we could always enjoy it too! Every year we get to watch the birds nest in it, popping out from time to time, and during the winter, with the howling Columbia River Gorge winds blow hard, for a long time, and cold, we get to see it bent over and frozen. I need to get a picture of that next time!
Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to grow but do require some stratification.
Basic Plant Facts:
Cupressus sempervirens
Grows 40' x 4-6'
