Cuphea plants fascinate me and whenever I'm in warm southern California I seek them out. Often found there in robust hardy mass plantings, they can also be grown as annuals in colder parts of the country. (I hear they can be houseplants too although I've not yet tried that.)

This is the most commonly seen Cuphea and it can be found virtually anywhere in the US at any garden center when annual plants appear after the last frost date. It's a winner in the ground or in containers, and is easy to grow from seed.

It blooms and blooms throughout the summertime and always looks great even if the blooms are fading a bit. That's the best part! Once that happens, the plant will light up and bloom one more time.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are easy to grow. (about 30 seeds)

Basic Plant Facts:
Cuphea ignea
Grows 12-18" x 24-36"
Likes sun
Annual (Perennial-ish in z 8a-11)
