Borago officinalis—White Borage Seeds

For some reason I've been blessed with a large patch of these in my garden. For years I tried without success to grow the blue version of this plant, but instead, its white companion took root. Each year they return, popping up in new places because of the seeds spreading, but I just pluck out the little ones I don't want, and I allow the remaining ones to reach for the sun.

The leaves and stems of the plants can irritate the skin, but the lovely star-shaped blooms are edible. I prefer to leave the plants as they are though because of the joy they give to pollinators.

I also recommend this plant to anyone looking for a plant that requires little irrigation and is xeric. This plant is great in that regard as well.

The bees love this plant and I should add that mine are only grown with organic fish fertilizers—when used.

Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are relatively easy to germinate and will self-sow in many places once established.
