Asparagus densiflorus 'Sprengeri'—Asparagus Fern 'Sprengeri' Seeds
This beauty was grown from seed and is 2 years old. It is made up of several plants—aka tubers—and can/will be divided next summer. Some folks sometimes use these as annuals, but I prefer them as houseplants. One reason for this is that in really warm climates in the US these beauties can become invasive. Now we wouldn't want that now would we?
It is very hardy, and easy to care for, except that it sheds indoors if not given sufficient light. Plants require little irrigation and are simply carefree otherwise. (Their tubers underground store water for them and often remind me of the delicate kelp tubes that wash ashore here in the NW.
Germination instructions are included with your seeds. These are very easy to germinate.
Basic Plant Facts:
Grows 24" x 48"
Likes full sun indoors, shade on summer patio
USDA zones: 9a-11
