This particular cultivar though is both "William Guiness" or "Magpie" depending upon who you ask and where they are from.
No matter what the name, the blooms are striking and hard to miss! Ours are planted out in our hell strip and many folks ask about them as they stroll on by our home. It is a perennial so it will bloom year after year during the summertime.

Sow indoors 10-12 weeks before the last frost date. Sow seeds on the surface of good seed starting soil. Cover lightly with mix and moisten. Place in a plastic bag at 68-70F for 1 week, and then in a fridge for 30 days. Move container back to 68-70F. Germination should begin in 10-30 days.
